Bill Gates: The Future Of Meat Is Vegan →
vegandailynews: Bill Gates is no stranger to innovation, troubleshooting, and looking to the future. And what this entrepreneur-turned-humanitarian sees is a future marked not by the consumption of animal products, but by a gradual turn to a plant-based lifestyle.  Gates envisions a much different future for meat consumption, noting that vegetarian alternatives are more efficient and healthier...

Greeting, new followers. Here's some random stuff...
1. I’m obsessed with building my own trebuchet. 2. I’m a raving atheist/libertarian/insomniac/podcaster/SCUBA diver. 3. I’m an excellent cook/pescotarian/high functioning alcoholic. 4. I have extreme social anxiety, crowds of people (i.e. more than 1) make me nauseous and panicky. 5. I haven’t been to a movie theater in over 10 years (see #4). 6. I’ve moved 35 times and lived in 8 different...

Well, this is going to be tricky...
I have to take an extended, unpaid medical leave from my current job due to surgery. FMLA says they have to hold my current job for me for something like 6 months. Problem: After surgery, I can never go back to any job based on physical labor. No more lifting, bending or twisting for this broken body. And they are under no obligation to create a new position just to keep me employed. So,...

Sometimes I feel like starting a porn blog-
Dedicated to all my lusty, voyeuristic, exhibitionist, deviant tendencies. But then I think: No one needs to see that. And do I really have the, ahem, balls, to post personal pics? Doubtful. Most days I think I’m just a dirty old man and I should keep this shit to myself.

scifitwin replied to your post: scifitwin replied to your post: Olympic viewing so… You have that backwards. Mountain is boring to watch, fun to do. Road and track is where it’s at. Nope, I like it dirty. Although the velodrome can be interesting, nasty crashes.

scifitwin replied to your post: Olympic viewing so far today You didn’t get up at 4 a.m. and watch the road cycling race? You bastard. I did watch the archery. The third Italian in the rotation was killing me. Each time he drew back he settled in and kissed the string, essentially. Road cycling is meh. I’m waiting for the knobby tires.

openmindedlover replied to your post: T minus 14 days until surgery- Yikes…I have no idea what any of that means, but it doesn’t sound good…take care… Thanks! It means that I have a congenital defect that is disintegrating my joints. We’ve (temporarily) fixed both knees, now moving on to the shoulders. It means I tore my labrum and displaced my rotator cuff in my sleep. They have to sew...

Arthroscopy, debridement, subacromial decompression, labral repair. Let’s just talk about how excited I am… … Well, that’s enough of that. . . .
